A company called Frontx has created what some call a very nifty device. I think it's going to create a wire mess inside your computer. This Frontx device moves your ports from the back of your computer to one of the front slots. If that's something that makes you happy check out their site.

High Speed PC is offering a new Gold Finger Device (GFD) for the Athlon. It's produced by Innovac and is called the Tweaking Device2. It doesn't have any external power connectors and has only 8 dip switches. This is probably one of the smallest GFD units I have seen yet. They're not available to be sold yet but can be pre-ordered at HighSpeed PC.

Fast-MHz has a comparison up of Cable versus DSL. This actually depends on where you live somewhat as cable shares bandwidth with neighbors. So, if you lived suburban like myself, you could possibly whoop up on DSL with a 1000 k/sec cable modem. Read up, if you don't have a preference you might want to check this out.

PC Extremes has a review on the larger Global Win Card Cooler take off. Get that? If you are familiar with The Card Cooler, Global Win makes to similar products. The one reviewed here, CFA12, is superior to all other models (in my opinion). It beats out Global Win's other model and the Card Cooler. I say it's bigger because it uses one large fan rather than a pair fo smaller fans. Well, I think I ruined the review for you, but you can go see what PC Extremes thinks of it.

WebMasterP

G3D has a review on the BigMoFo-REX-FAN from 3Dfx Cool. This is basically what you get from a Really Big Retro Fit Kit from 2CoolTek. I would recommend ordering from 2CoolTek, whether you're buying just a Retro Fit Kit or a preassembled unit, the 2CoolTek products do not have a dumb sticker. They have the original OEM sticker. Sounds dumb? Well, it is but I just would rather have my Global Win sticker than one that says "3Dfx Cool." Say what you want, it just bugs me.

I got an email from one of my visitors, Frank, who did the same thing I did in my BX Chipset cooling article except he actually drilled holes into the HSF unit. Also, I forgot to mention, if you're really sure you want this setup, use thermal epoxy for a more permanent bond.
