Zalman CNPS6000-Cu
Page 1 - Zalman's Quiet Cooling Solution
Zalman is a Korean company that makes high quality cooling products.
However, they are not like your standard cooling company. Zalman offers
a Computer Noise Prevention System
(CNPS) line of products. The CNPS6000-Cu I'm reviewing for you today
fits into Socket 370/462 segment of their quiet cooling endeavor. Near
silent cooling solutions usually come with a high performance cost read
on to see if Zalman can break that trend.

Since I like to keep things in order, let me start off with what's included in the box.
Zalman has included the heatsink and fan (naturally). What's unusual about the CNPS6000-Cu's
fan is that it doesn't directly attach to the heat sink, it attaches to the screws that hold
in your video and PCI cards. Also, the fan weighs in at 92mm which is way above your average
60mm. In the package you also get the bracket that supports the fan, thermal grease, some screws,
the heatsink clip (not attached to the heatsink), an adjustable fan speed controller, heatsink
installation tool and, of course, a manual.

Out of the box leads to into the computer, right? So, how did the unit install? Great! This is
by far the easiest to install heatsink I've ever owned. The installation tool that was included
made clipping the heat sink down just plain easy. Mounting the fan to the AGP/PCI/ISA support
screws was just as easy. The only thing I disliked about the install was how the fan speed
control unit just dangled their.
