I guess I came up with the idea to do this just because I had the products in my grasp.
I happened to own and Asus 50x Max and Slugo (MH Staff) had an Acer 50x Max, wow! So, why
not compare the two drives and let the consumers know what's up. Now, let us proceed to the
review.
Slugo and I benchmarked the drives in our own computers and then swapped drives to show
the difference in speed because of hardware differences. The Acer cost $46 and the Asus
cost $62. The Asus is very loud, out "screaming" my modified case (2-80mm and 1 92mm)
and Slugo's case (Super Micro with 3-80mm Fans and 2-92mm), while the Acer 50x Max is fairly
quiet and has a cool looking face.
Ok, now that you know that the Asus 50x Max is a very loud and ugly beast and that the Acer 50x
Max is a quiet little pretty boy, lets do some tests!
